Congratulations David and Becky (and family)

December 5, 2011

Last week, on Thansgiving Eve, I got a call from one of the attorneys that I work with asking if I had a very special family for this little boy who had already been born. There are some unknowns for this little boy as he grows and develops, and she asked me for a family who was willing to say yes, even with those unknowns. I knew right away that David and Becky would say YES…. and they did. I am so blessed to have been part of this adoption.

David and Becky started working with me in April and said YES many times, but the Lord knew that this YES would change one little boys life forever!

Proud Momma and Daddy!

Sweet Big Sister (Momma reports that with all the sister lovin’ she has to fight for her turn to hold him!)

Another beautiful sister takes a turn. Becky shared with me that a few weeks ago, this little one was doing a Thanksgiving project and writing on each paper feather for her turkey something she was thankful for. When she got to one special feather, she told Becky that she wanted to write “My Baby.” Becky questioned her and said, “You mean your new bitty baby doll that you got for your birthday?”  She said, “No, my REAL baby that’s coming!” (As good parents often do, Becky tried to ease her little girl’s expectations by telling her that sometimes what we want is not always God’s plan.)

Becky was reminded of this special feather just the other night as they prayed and dinner, and her little girl prayed, “Thank you Jesus for my REAL baby!”

Tonight I’m rejoicing with this family for the answered prayers of a child and for this precious little boy who indeed has found a SPECIAL FAMILY!

AND one more thing!! Another incredible sister who was married on Thanksgiving weekend and is now on her honeymoon cannot wait to get home to meet this little guy to. What an exciting Thanksgiving this has been for this wonderful family!

The third big sister couldn’t come along to pick up the baby because she was honeymooning.

I’m definitely looking forward to meeting him, though. 😀
