Chris and Ashley started working with me in June of this past year. They were matched right away in August, but things shifted gears shortly before the baby they were expecting to adopt was born. With sadness in their hearts, but with hope and trust in God right along side of that sadness, they moved forward waiting to see what God had next for them.

The agency they had been working with was ready to rematch them as quickly as they could, and they were considering an upcoming situation of a baby due in February. A matched hadn’t been officially made, but they were getting close.

On Christmas Day, as I was sitting around with my family opening gifts, I got a text saying this baby boy had decided to come early- 30 weeks gestation, weighing around 3 pounds. They had to wait out a snow storm, but got in their car and drove to meet their son within a few days of his birth. They are spending the next few weeks in the NICU while this little guys grows and gets strong enough to come home. Please keep this sweet family and their new son in prayer.

Their daughter helped share the news with their family and friends!

He looks just like our Aaron, who came at 26 weeks weighing 1lb! He is a crazy 4 year old now 🙂
