Congratulations Ryan and Abi

March 18, 2014

My beautiful friend Abi is a photographer and I couldn’t share her family’s story until she was “ready” with photos that would tell the tale the way she would want it to be told. Abi found an amazing photographer Shannon Griffin who was in the same city where their baby was to be born. She asked Shannon to come and document this important day.

Daddy and the boys waiting in the car to come in and meet baby brother.

Ready to meet brother.

Introductions. The first moment of a lifetime of brotherhood.

Words cannot speak what this photo has to say. Look and listen.

A very proud daddy!

And then there were three. Three boys who will share life together. Adventures beyond measure.

Home Sweet Home. Safe. Warm. Loved.

No better place in all the world. Momma.

In June of 2012, Abi first wrote to me about adoption. Later that fall, they decided to get the ball rolling. By early in 2013 they were ready with a completed home study and profile. Just a couple of months later, they were matched.  They were expecting a baby by birth and through adoption very close together. They were thrilled at the idea of “twins”. As happens from time to time, the birthmom decided to parent her child.

Trusting the Lord and His path for their lives, they waited for the next yes. It came.

And so did he.

This little man was the YES that the Lord had for them all along. He was the one.

The brother to their sons.

The one they would call their very own.

He does all things well. In His time….
